  HELLO FROM THE CEO  
     
 

We came into 2015 with the Oil Industry spiraling into recession, concerns from all corners of the world, market prices dropping, projects being cancelled or scaled back and the oil majors pre-occupied with lay-offs.

 

Fortunately, MIR VALVE has had a relatively good year and exceeded our expectations. We have entered new markets like Algeria, Libya and Vietnam, launched a new product line in API 6A/17D to market and secured many new orders, formed an ALLINACE to launch MIR HIPPS SYSTEMS with our partner PrACSI (and HIMA), secured new customers, new project orders for cryogenic SDV ball valves, kept all our staff, and continued great progress with our internal process optimization programs.

 

2016 looks equally promising, with a comfortable backlog for production to support us, a solid batch of projects we are targeting and determined to win, we are in good shape.

 

I have encouraged everyone in our company to take a nice little break, re-energize as we come to the year-end to be ready and full of energy, enthusiasm, discipline and passion to move mountains as we go into 2016.

  THE HIPPS SYSTEMS ALLIANCE - NEW BUSINESS MODEL LAUNCH  
     
     
 

 

We have launched this month a new product offering - MIR HIPPS SYSTEMS, in partnership with PrACSI, UAE, a company specialized in Logic Solvers (HIMA Technology) and HIPPS System integration.

 

HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems) are applied to prevent over-pressurization of a pipeline or plant by shutting off the source of high pressure, creating a barrier between the high pressure and low pressure sections of the installation. It is an integral part of the entire safety system.

 

MIR VALVE has a proven track record of ball valves installed in safety loop systems (HIPPS ball valves, ESD and SDV ball valves with Partial Stroke Device) and PrACSI has over 20 years experience in Logic solvers using HIMA Technology as System integrators. All components in the system are SIL certified to Levels 3 & 4 and the complete HIPPS loop will be TUV certified.

 

This partnership will bring to the market a turnkey solution along with the technical expertise of proven and established brands, as well as one focal point for the complete loop. Our Sales teams will be pursuing this with all our customers as we go into 2016.

Our global sales team has reunited for the annual sales meeting, which took place at our Headquarters and Plant in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

 

Last year, we invested in expanding our global sales structure and put in place MIR sales offices to manage the regions and major league markets in order to deliver a much higher level of customer service and support. The relocation of our sales offices into key strategic locations means we can think global and act local.

 

KUALA LUMPUR → JAKARTA → SEOUL → DUBAI → MILAN

 

Our focus this year was how to manage the launch of our new products and technologies plus our new business model offering MIR HIPPS SYSTEMS.

 

We will continue to invest in our global sales organization and while 2016 may look bleak, to us it is another very exciting year ahead of us.
